Tiqui, tiqui, ti.............
Well, the Fiestas Patrias is the (ww) better (mw)of the year. It's a (wo) date very special because (ww)it's (wt)celebrated the First Reunion of Government and for this reason (mw) is a date very (ww)happy for all. Also, because every 18(s) of September (ww)it's celebrated with "empanadas", "chicha", barbecues and (ww)many "cueca", it's a (s)wonderfull date.(p) Every year, my mum cooks "empanadas" and with my family we (wt)met and (ww)made (ew)a barbecue (wo)the 19 of September while we (wo)see "The Militar Parade" (p)(ww)al years is the same,(mw) is a tradicion. I remember that (ew)before when I was a child I (wt)was living near (ew)to O'Higgins Park and for this date with my sisters and father went to (wo)"Fondas"(p)and with my father flew a kite in the "elipse", (p)also(wo) I remember that in my school (wo)with my classmates we were (ew)doing (wt)plays (ew)and competitions of spinning top, race in sack(wo), careers, greasy stick and other tradicionals (ww)plays, it was (ww)entertained. In fact, the best 18(s) was a (ww)year (mw) when arrived (wo)my grandfathers of (mw)south with my uncles and cousins. I remember that we went to (mw)"Fondas" of O'Higgins Park and we ate and drank a lot, I remember that was the first time that I tasted "chicha".

Alhué´s Fieldtrip
My Favourite Fieldtrip was the last one (mw). We (ww)come to Alhué, (mw)3 hours from Santiago to the southwest. (ww)Is a little town called Villa Alhué that has serious problems of pollution, caused by a mining that waste dumps in the river. We went there to investigate the effects of the mining on the environment. Sadly the effects are easily to (ww)see, the biodiversity (mw) decrease, the beekeeping it is over, and the water in the river is orange in some places. The fieldtrip was amazing because we entered in private’s properties and we had to (ww)stay very quiet (ww)if (ew)anybody looked the surroundings we had to run very fast to any hideout. But (mw) was incredible to discover the orange hidden waste, really (ew)really hidden, we had to (wt)crossing the river and (wt)walk kilometres to find it. And(mw) was not the only, (wnf)others guys find another (p) few kilometres further. Then the teacher brought some appliances to measured electric conductivity, pH, dissolved solids, and with a shovel the guys took samples of sediments in the river. Now we have to analyze the samples in (mw)laboratory to show the effects of the mining in this part of the river. The next Field Trip (mw) will go to the higher part of the river, further than the withdrawal mining, there ( p), we think, the conditions are the best, without the mining pollution.

(p)my new ipod!

Last week, I (s)bougth an ipod nano (wo)of 2 gigabytes for(ww) a good(ww) price(p), and (ew)finally after one moth of a (ew)terrible suffering, I (wt)have heard again,(p) the music that I like in those long and boring travels from my house to (ew)the (ww)college. My last mp3 (ww)reproductor was a sony walkman of 512 megabytes (wo) that I (s)bougth last year but it was damaged(p), then I had to use the radio of my cell phone (I hate (ww)radio music) or (ww)put up with the noise of the "reggaeton" (ww)in the "flaites" cell phones who sit beside me on the bus(rw). For me, is very important(mw) listen to (ew) the music (specially my strange kind of music) (p)for this reason , I can't not have just (ew)any mp3 reproductor. (ww)
The ipod is very (ww)special, because it (wt)playing (wo)every format of music files, and it (wt)have a very easy way to operate it and manage (ew)the music files. Also I can(wo) watch photos and store information on it, even it (wt)have games too! I really love my new ipod, and (ww)even though I'm not(mw) material boy, (ew)and I know that if I would (wt)lost it, my life would be terrible

"Kes"

Billy burried Kes. He had lost everything he had and nothing was going to stop his pain. Time went by and nothing changed in Billy´s life. Jud was still the same jackass, her mother was never at home and Billy was still considerated as a problematic student.

Billy had a second job interview with the school councilor. He was really worried about Billy´s future so he tried to talk to him in order to find out possible solutions. After a very non dynamic conversation Billy told the social worker that he was interested in animals, especially in birds. The councilor begun to read some papers and after a while he told Billy that there was a possible job in an animal store. Billy got motivated and asked him if it was possible to earn money by doing something that you liked and the council answered him that everything was possible if you wanted to. The councilor arranged a meeting with the store owner and taught Billy some tips to have a good job interview.

Billy was very interested with the job so he read more about animals, he got a suit and he got prepared for the interview, he really wanted the job.

The day of the interview Billy met Michael, the store owner, very early in the morning in the animal store. Billy was very nervous but it was not an obstacle to told him about his experiences with animals, especially with Kes. After 45 minutes of talking, Michael told him that he was perfect for the job and that Billy remembered himself when he was young, so that he was going to give him a chance. Billy was really excited and he told Michael that he was not going to dissapoint him.

Now Billy had a purpose, something interesting in his life that was going to keep him far away of his own tragedy, something to live for, as Kes was in the past.

Well, I think that correcting errors is harder than what I thought it was. This experience is going to help us a lot in our way of learning English as a second language. Although sometimes this experience could be very frustrating, it is useful as future teachers of English and I hope, as time passes, we would become better.

I have noticed that many students make the same mistakes and they do not even know which are them, so meanwhile we are learning and practicing, we are also helping them in their own learning. Also a good exercise is to correct our own posts because sometimes we do not discovered mistakes until we have read it more than twice.

It is amazing how we can learn with this experience. Firstly because we can identify someones´errors and we not tend to make it. Secondly, because we can practice and learn techniques to have a better correction and a quicker one.

In a very small city of Austria a man kidnap his daughter for almost 24 years. He also raped her and had 7 children with his own daughter. The name of kidnapper is Josef Fritzl he recognize all of his acts and meanwhile the case is investigated he is in prison. The seven children were found with psychological problems and with skin problems because they have never seen the light of the sun.
