My least favourite school subject was Mathematics, especially geometry and algebra. I studied it for about, my entire life, since I entered to school. Even I had a course in our first year here at Alberto Hurtado´s University. I think that mainly I didn’t like it because I didn’t understand the lessons and also because I wasn’t interested in it. Each year I had a different teacher of maths but I remember especially one. His name was Antonio; he was a very old man, that every student was very afraid of him. I think that he was the only teacher that woke up an interest to study maths. He told me ones, that maths were everything. That I was always going to be involved with maths and that it was fundamental for our daily routine. I remembered that I had my best average in maths, when he taught me that year, because he explain me it uses and also give me the chance to make mistakes. He always said that you learn making mistakes.

I am pretty sure that teachers can make us hate or love a subject and in this case I'm glad to hear that someone made the difference in your perception of Maths.
We have to be really awared of this situations because we will be teachers.
